Tasting Note

Summer fruit salad of poached yellow pears, baked apples, mango and rock melon, mingled with apple blossom and a twist of lemon sherbet. A delicately aromatic interpretation of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. The palate, with its subtle fennel-like quality, is generous and textural, showing great concentration and finishing with a crisp, succulent finish

Product Notes

Greywacke Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is a highly sought after wine from New Zealand's most famous wine region. This wine is made with 100% Sauvignon Blanc grapes and has a distinctively crisp and zesty character. On the nose, it reveals aromas of passionfruit, gooseberry, and lime, complemented by a subtle herbaceous note. On the palate, it is bursting with lively acidity and a refreshing minerality, and finishes with a lasting and satisfying flavor. This wine is perfect for pairing with seafood dishes or as an aperitif. Its sophisticated taste and premium quality make it a favorite among wine connoisseurs and enthusiasts alike.

About the Winery

Greywacke

The Greywacke winery in New Zealand wouldn’t have been so popular today, if Kevin Judd, one of the pioneer winemakers from Marlborough, hadn’t taken a personal interest to identify it and develop the place. This winery is named after the famous bedrock of New Zealand, the grey-wacky, which is almost considered as the national stone of the place. Judd, a professional photographer, explored the winery to a great extent to become a master in making wines without any intervention. Thanks to the unique winemaking process followed here, the wines produced in the Greywacke winery are full of authentic flavours and good concentration of the fruits.
