Product Notes

Humberto Canale Estate Merlot is a full-bodied red wine made in Patagonia, Argentina. This wine is aged in oak barrels for 12 months, giving it a smooth and velvety texture with notes of vanilla and tobacco. The dark fruit flavors of blackberry, black cherry, and plum blend harmoniously with spices such as clove and cinnamon, making it a complex and rich wine. The tannins are soft, providing a lingering finish with a hint of espresso. Humberto Canale Estate Merlot pairs well with red meats, game, and bold cheeses. It is a wine that will get better with age and should be enjoyed with good company and great conversation.

About the Winery

Humberto Canale

The history of Bodega Humberto Canale, the Argentinian wine label dates back to as early as 1909. It was during this time that Engineer Humberto Canale realised the potential of the Alto Valle del Rio Negro region, when he started doing some irrigation work on it. Today, 11 decades and 5 generations later, this is one of the most respected wine labels in Argentina, the country where people are quite particular about their wines.
