Product Notes

Lapostolle Grand Selection Merlot is a delightful Chilean red wine that is made from 100% Merlot grapes. The wine features a beautiful dark ruby color with aromas of ripe red fruits like plums, cherries, and blackberries. It has a soft and delicate mouthfeel with ripe tannins that provide a velvety finish. The Merlot grapes are handpicked and sorted to ensure the highest quality of grapes are used. The wine is aged for nine months in French oak barrels that impart a toasted and spicy flavor to the wine. This wine pairs exceptionally well with grilled meats, stews, and spicy food. Overall, Lapostolle Grand Selection Merlot is a rich and elegant wine that offers a classic experience for any wine enthusiast.

About the Winery

Lapostolle

You can understand the essence and culture of Lapostolle Wines when you read the brand’s tagline – French by essence, Chilean by birth. Established in 1994 by Alexandra Marnier Lapostolle and her husband Cyril de Bournet, this label’s main aim was to spread the wine-rich terroirs of Chile to the world. The seed for starting this label was sown when the couple visited the beautiful Chilean valley of Colchagua. The soil, terroir and the climatic conditions of this place were too good to grow premium-quality vines here.
