Tasting Note

A complex, expressive bouquet with touches of smoke and walnut infusing the citrus fruit and a hint of toffee just underneath. The palate is lively and ripe on the entry with apricot, mandarin, orange zest and white peach. It is long in the mouth with a fine, walnut inspired finish.

Product Notes

Lismore Chardonnay is a delicious wine that is made from the finest Chardonnay grapes harvested from the Lismore Estate vineyard situated in the Greyton area of South Africa. This wine boasts a striking pale straw color with a bouquet of fresh citrus aromas such as lemon and lime, as well as hints of toasted coconut and vanilla. It's a full-bodied wine with rich flavors of fresh butter, melon and juicy green apples. This Chardonnay is aged in French oak barrels, which lend a subtle toasty and creamy finish to the palate, making it an ideal wine to pair with grilled seafood, roast chicken and cream-based pasta dishes. Experience the pure taste of Lismore Chardonnay, a wine that combines the perfect balance of fruit and oak, creating a truly memorable taste experience.

About the Winery

Lismore

It was when Samantha O’Keefe, a Berkley-educated student, moved to a quiet little town in South Africa that the seeds for the Lismore Wine Estate were sown. She moved to the beautiful town of Greyton, located at the bottom of the Riviersonderend range of mountains. Though there weren’t any wine producers nearby, she realised the potential of the land, thanks to the excellent climatic conditions and terroir quality of the place.
