Tasting Note

A wonderfully complex dark fruited nose with hints of bitter chocolate, wild herbs, earth and incense leads in to a full bodied, succulent palate that is hard to describe. A certain tannic presence and fine, trembling acidity holds together and frames a vibrant, authentic style of wine that although powerful has a real sense of cohesion and balance. All the elements are in place for a long life ahead and yet there is something irresistible about it now

Product Notes

Mas Martinet Cami Pesseroles is a Spanish red wine from the Priorat region. This premium wine is produced from a blend of Grenache, Carignan, and Syrah, grown on steep slopes of mineral-rich soils. It exhibits a deep ruby-red color with aromas of dark fruit, black cherry, vanilla, and mocha. On the palate, it delivers full-bodied flavors of blackberry, plum, and chocolate, backed by firm tannins and balanced acidity. The wine undergoes a 10-12 month aging process in oak barrels, which adds complexity and smoothness to the finish. Mas Martinet Cami Pesseroles is an elegant and rich wine that pairs well with roasted meats, stews, and sharp cheeses.

About the Winery

Mas Martinet

Mas Martinet is the dream, life passion, and the fruit of the labour of its founders, Montse Ovejero and Josep Lluís Pérez. Established in 1981, the winery tells the tale of generational change, persistence, transmission, and continuity. It is one of the most notable wine estates of Spain that fought and struggled immensely to defend the rights and fame of the infancy stage of the Priorat DO. It allowed the region and its wines to obtain the recognition and prestige it has and enjoys in recent times. In 1996, Josep Lluís Pérez handed over the rights of handling and overseeing Mas Martinet to Sara Pérez, his daughter. She worked tirelessly to build the winery to the state it is today.
