Tasting Note

This wine shows a light-yellow green hue, and the nose is a beautiful melody of fresh citrus fruits which is complimented by stone fruit and hints of oak. The palate is pure, precise, and focussed with great complexity, concentration, texture with a lingering and layered aftertaste. The wine is complex and elegant with great cellaring potential.

Product Notes

Paul Cluver Wines Seven Flags Chardonnay is a complex and well-balanced wine that offers a rich and creamy texture. The wine is made from handpicked grapes that are carefully selected from seven different vineyards, each with its unique soils and microclimates. The aromas are a precise blend of citrus, ripe peach, and grilled nuts. On the palate, the flavors are elegant with a smooth finish that lingers on the tongue. The oak barrel aging imparts a distinct hint of vanilla that complements the fruit flavors and adds depth to the wine's complexity. Overall, Paul Cluver Wines Seven Flags Chardonnay is a luxurious wine that offers a delightful drinking experience.

About the Winery

Paul Cluver Wines

Paul Cluver Wines is one of South Africa’s family-owned and run wineries located in the Elgin appellation. In the mid-1980s, Dr. Paul Cluver cultivated the first grapevines in the region, establishing the Wine of Origin. Soon, owing to his critical eye for detail and the desire to improve the quality of his productions, Paul realised and recognised the worth of Elgin as a Pinot country. Today, the Cluver family runs and manages Paul Cluver Wines. All the members are a pioneering and visionary spirit.
