Product Notes

Sauska Kékfrankos is a red wine varietal that hails from Hungary's Villány wine region. Made from the indigenous Kékfrankos grape, this wine is characterized by its bright cherry-red color, pronounced aromas of red fruit, and refreshing acidity. Sauska Kékfrankos is medium-bodied with soft tannins, making it an ideal pairing for a wide range of dishes, including grilled meats, stews, and even spicy Asian cuisine. This wine is aged in oak barrels for up to 12 months, giving it a subtle hint of vanilla and spice on the finish. With its complex flavors and aromas, Sauska Kékfrankos is a must-try for any wine enthusiast looking to discover the unique and delicious wines of Hungary.

Tasting Notes

Huge team favorite, in top form in this vintage. Velvety red color, delicate acids and very soft tannins. An outburst of red fruits, cranberries, raspberries, black cherries lead the nose and the palate completed by ripe fleshy black cherries. The balance of aromas and taste is simply delightful.
