Tasting Note

This is a complex, aromatic and medium-bodied Pinot Noir with silky tannins and long-term ageing potential. Intense flavours of black cherry and darker fruits are complemented by underlying gamey aromas with great depth and length.

Product Notes

Shaw and Smith Adelaide Hills Pinot Noir is an elegant and refined wine that perfectly captures the essence of the Adelaide Hills region. With enticing aromas of cherry, raspberry and spice, this Pinot Noir is beautifully balanced and full-bodied on the palate, with delicate tannins and a long, smooth finish. The vineyards from which this wine is crafted are set against a backdrop of lush green hills, and the grapes are grown in cool, elevated sites, which gives the wine its distinct character. This Pinot Noir is an excellent pairing with roasted poultry, game or lamb dishes or makes a perfect nightcap on its own.

About the Winery

Shaw and Smith

Shaw and Smith Wines, based in Adelaide, is one of Australia’s finest wines. A major reason for the exquisite taste of the wines created here is the height of the vineyards. You can find these vines at the backdrop of the majestic Mount Lofty Ranges in Adelaide Hills, just around 30 minutes from Adelaide. The elevation rage of the vines here is anywhere between 350 and 710m, which makes it one of the coolest and wettest places in this locality.
