Tasting Note

The 2018 Patelin de Tablas Blanc is intensely Rhone-like on the nose, with notes of honeysuckle, orange zest, anise, and crushed rock. In the mouth, it's lush but vibrant with mandarin orange, nectarine, white flowers, and a saline mid-palate. The long, zesty finish shows citrus pith and sea spray minerality, with a lingering orange blossom note. Drink now and for the next 2-3 years.

Product Notes

Tablas Creek Vineyard Patelin de Tablas Blanc is a blend of five white Rhône grape varieties sourced from various vineyards in Paso Robles, California. This wine is made up of Grenache Blanc, Viognier, Roussanne, Marsanne, and Clairette Blanche. On the nose, it has a wonderful bouquet of white peach, honeysuckle, and citrus zest. On the palate, it offers flavors of ripe pear, lemon, and yellow apple. The wine has a lush and creamy texture with a bright acidity that leaves a lasting impression. It pairs perfectly with seafood, poultry dishes, and salads, making it an ideal choice for a refreshing summer sipper. Overall, Patelin de Tablas Blanc is an excellent example of how Rhône blends can truly shine in the Paso Robles region.

About the Winery

Tablas Creek Vineyard

Established in 1989, Tablas Creek Vineyard is a wine label created as a result of the friendship between two prominent winemaking families – Perin Family (with its origins in France’s Chateau de Beaucastel) and the Hass Family of Vineyard Brands. The family members searched all over California for the right wine-producing region, before they finalised a small plot in Paso Robles. The soil and terroir conditions of this place were similar to France’s Rhone Valley, which is why they decided to set up Tablas Creek Vineyard here.
