Product Notes

Testalonga El Bandito Dark Side is a unique and bold red wine made from South Africa's grape varieties, Syrah and Cinsault. Its deep ruby color incorporates the darkness in its name. It is fresh and full-bodied, boasting a perfect balance of tannins, acidity, and fruitiness. Its aromas and flavors reveal hints of black currant, black pepper, and spices, complemented by earthy and herbal notes. This wine's complexity is a result of the use of wild yeast fermentation and extended skin contact, adding depth and character. This natural wine is perfect to pair with rich and flavorful dishes such as grilled meats or spicy stews.

About the Winery

Testalonga

Testalonga Winery is one of the newest wineries in the world. It was set up by Craig and Carla Hawkins in the year 2008. Located along the Swartland Mountains of South Africa, this winery is slowly picking up a name for itself in the winemaking industry. The owners of this winery recently announced that they were taking around 11 hectares of the organic vineyards on the granite soils of Paardeberg and 4 hectares of vineyards on the sandstone soils of Piketberg on rent.
