The Righteous wines are crafted from the best single parcels, only released in carefully selected vintages - this wine is a pure and outstanding example of Barossa Mataro. Bold, rich and spicy, this wine displays layers of complex savoury fruits on the nose and considerable depth. Ripe berry notes and fruit derived spice elements flow through to the wonderfully fine and long palate with dark chocolate highlights and hints of well integrated French Oak. Fine, poised and delicious.

Teusner Righteous Mataro is a complex and bold wine that boasts abundant flavors and aromas. It is made from 100% Mataro grapes, a varietal that has its origins in Spain, but is now widely grown in the Barossa Valley region of Australia. The wine delivers luscious dark berry aromas, complemented by hints of spice and cedar. The palate is full-bodied and displays black cherry, blueberry and plum flavors with a hint of star anise. The tannins are firm yet soft, providing a satisfying finish. This wine is best enjoyed with a hearty meat dish or aged cheese.

Teusner Wines, the Australian wine brand, was established in the year 2001 by Kym Teusner and Mick Page. It would be surprising for you to know that the seed for this wine brand was sown when the duo heard a casual discussion in the local bar about the quality of the grapes grown in the high-quality Barossa wine area of Australia. The best fruits from the Barossa vineyards are used for making these vines. Therefore, at Teusner, ultimate respect is given to the local wine growers.
