Produced by Thelema Mountain Vineyards in the Stellenbosch region of South Africa, The Abbey is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Shiraz, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc grapes. This rich and full-bodied red wine is reminiscent of the deep flavors of dark berries, plums, and spices, with a hint of vanilla and oak from aging in French oak barrels. The Abbey is a luxurious and velvety wine that pairs beautifully with rich dishes such as roasted lamb or beef stew.

About the Winery

Thelema

The family-owned Thelema Mountain Vineyards are located in the highly wine-rich area of Stellenbosch in South Africa. Thelema wines and Sutherland wines are created from the grapes produced at these vineyards. The Thelema vineyards are located towards the south east of Simonsberg Mountain at an altitude of about 530m above sea level. This altitude enables in growing high quality and premium grapes.
