Product Notes

Trapiche Estación 1883 Cabernet Franc is an exquisite red wine with a deep ruby color and a rich aroma of dark fruits, including black currants and plums. The taste is complex with flavors of blackberry, black cherry, and a hint of vanilla. This wine is made from handpicked grapes that undergo a rigorous selection process to ensure only the best quality fruit is used. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for 12 months, which imparts a subtle smoky character to the wine. It has a balanced acidity and soft, velvety tannins that make it easy to drink. This is a wine that will pair perfectly with red meats, hearty stews, and mature cheeses.

About the Winery

Trapiche

Trapiche, located in the extremely wine-rich region of Mendoza in Argentina, is a winery that was set up during 1883. This area comprises of over 1000 hectares and it is not surprising to know that this winery is the largest wine producer in Argentina. When Tiburcio Benegas bought the Trapiche winery during the 1880s, it was only a very small vineyard. Today, the place, owned by Grupo Penaflor, encompasses many vineyards from the Mendoza region.
