Tasting Note

This wine is a deep, vibrant crimson in colour. Wild raspberry, blackberry and black pepper aromas predominate, with hints of vanilla bean. Savoury, spicy notes follow with some meaty overtones. Powerful but balanced, ripe tannins give the wine great, silky structure. Oak ageing plays a supporting role, the wine leading with a pure fruit expression. Combined with good acidity, these characteristics ensure excellent potential for ageing.

Trinity Hill Gimblett Gravels Syrah is a high-quality wine made from 100% Syrah grapes grown in the Gimblett Gravels region of New Zealand's Hawke's Bay wine region. This wine is rich and full-bodied, with deep color and intense aromas of dark fruit, black pepper, mocha, and spicy oak. On the palate, the wine shows great depth and complexity, with concentrated flavors of blackberry, blackcurrant, and black cherry, complemented by hints of licorice and sage. The tannins are firm yet silky, creating a long, lingering finish. Trinity Hill Gimblett Gravels Syrah is a perfect complement to grilled meats, hearty stews, and robust cheeses.
