Product Notes

Vergelegen Estate Wild Winds Sauvignon Blanc is a delightful South African white wine that exemplifies the unique terroir of the Stellenbosch region. This crisp and refreshing wine is a true reflection of the estate's commitment to producing high-quality, terroir-driven wines.

With a vibrant pale straw color and aromas of tropical fruits, citrus, and fresh herbs, this Sauvignon Blanc is an elegant and well-balanced wine that is perfect for any occasion. The palate is alive with flavors of grapefruit, green apple, and a hint of minerality, leading to a long, zesty finish.

Enjoy Vergelegen Estate Wild Winds Sauvignon Blanc on its own as a refreshing aperitif or pair it with seafood, light salads, or creamy cheeses for a perfect culinary match.

About the Winery

Vergelegen Estate

Located in South Africa’s Western Cape Province, the Vergelegen Wine Estate has a rich history that dates back to 1700. The Governor of the Cape Province, Williem Adriaan van der Stel, established this estate during that time. By 1798, the Thieunissen family acquired this estate, and started planting many vines here. The family was focused on making wines from here, when the deadly phylloxera virus affected the vines during the 19th century. The wine production, growth of vines and everything else came to a standstill then.
