Tasting Note

The Pinot Gris grape variety was first vinified separately here in the Pfalz region, and Germany is second only to Italy in acres planted. Villa Wolf Pinot Gris is made in a full-bodied, dry style with fresh, unoaked fruit and a crisp texture.

Product Notes

Villa Wolf Pinot Gris is a refreshing white wine produced in the scenic region of Pfalz, Germany. This wine is made with ripe and juicy grapes, characterized by hints of yellow apple, pear, and lemon. It has a lovely aromatic and full-bodied flavor that is well balanced and pairs well with various foods. The appearance of Villa Wolf Pinot Gris is clear and bright with a pale yellow hue. The wine has a crisp acidity that provides the crisp and refreshing finish. It is a perfect addition to summer hosting events and pairs well with grilled chicken, seafood, and light pasta dishes. Overall, Villa Wolf Pinot Gris is a perfect choice for wine lovers looking for a light and refreshing white wine.

About the Winery

Villa Wolf

The J.L. Wolf winery, which has a long history dating back to 1756 and is located in the Pfalz region of Germany, was acquired by Ernst Loosen in 1996. According to the designs of the Karlsruhe architect Friedrich Eisenlohr, Villa Wolf is a rural home in the Italian style that was finished in 1843. The acquisition of J.L. Wolf (now known as Villa Wolf) brought back memories for Ernst Loosen. The chance to revitalize a winery with a good supply of vines in ideal settings emerged, much like with the Dr. Loosen Winery. Both wineries are in unique regions: Dr. Loosen is in Bernkastel on the Middle Mosel, which has the highest density of premium vineyard sites.
