Casa Montes Ampakama Malbec is an exquisite wine produced in the Andean region of Argentina. The crisp taste and rich aroma is made from the finest Malbec grapes, handpicked and aged for 12 months in new oak barrels. The deep ruby-red color and bold flavor profile boasts of dark fruits such as blackberries, raspberries and plums, with hints of vanilla and chocolate aromas. The tannins are well-balanced, providing a smooth and velvety finish. It is best enjoyed alongside red meats, stews and bold cheeses. About the Winery

Casa Montes

The founder of Casa Montes is an Andalusian immigrant called Don Francisco Montes. Casa Montes was set up in San Juan province in 1992. This was the start of the pioneering family trait. Casa Montes is in Tulum valley at the San Juan river banks. It is 700m above sea level. The annual temperature in the area is about 17 degrees Celsius on average. As for the annual rainfall, it is less than 200mm. The soils are alluvial.
