Tasting Note

Golden in colour, the `Käferberg` 2017 has an intense bouquet of yellow apple, dried banana, oranges and a touch of spicy pepper. The palate is well balanced with a fine citrus fruit character and ripe but lively acidity. An inviting fruit core on the mid-palate combines with a full bodied, generous wine with a lovely pepperiness and length.

Product Notes

Loimer Käferberg Erste Lage Kamptal Grüner Veltliner is a white wine that represents the unique terroir and outstanding quality of the Kamptal region in Austria. This beautiful wine is made from the Grüner Veltliner grape, which is the signature grape variety of Austria. It is produced by Fred Loimer, a winemaker who is renowned for his organic and biodynamic approach to winemaking. The wine has a vibrant yellow-green color and a delightful aroma of ripe fruits, citrus, and flowers. On the palate, it is refreshingly crisp with a mineral character and well-balanced acidity. This wine pairs well with seafood, white meat, and spicy dishes. Overall, the Loimer Käferberg Erste Lage Kamptal Grüner Veltliner is a symbol of Austrian winemaking excellence and a must-try for wine lovers.

About the Winery

Loimer

Loimer Wines is one of the reputed wines of Austria, all thanks to one name – Fred Loimer. He was quite passionate about winemaking and went on to get practical experience with vines and wines in Nahe, Germany and Carneros, California. After gaining enough experience, he returned to his native in Langenlois in Austria to set up his brand. There has been no turning back, ever since.
