Tasting Note

Ruby-red colour with a layer of violet hints, the nose displays red pepper notes, with some sweet tones reminiscent of figs and cranberry, all framed by toasted notes and some clove. The palate is spicy, with notes of black fruits, figs, graphite and red pepper. A wine whose structure and texture highlight the typical appearance of the variety with fine-grained tannins, with a very smooth and pleasant palate.

Product Notes

Errazuriz Estate Carmenère is a red wine that hails from the Aconcagua Valley of Chile. This wine is crafted from 85% Carmenère grapes and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. This blend imparts deep, rich flavors and aromas of blackberry, cherry, and pepper, which is characteristic of the Carmenère grape. The wine is full-bodied with a medium tannin structure and a long finish. It pairs well with poultry, pork, and beef dishes, especially those that are grilled or roasted. Errazuriz Estate Carmenère is aged for 12 months in oak barrels, which imparts subtle vanilla and spicy notes to the wine. This wine can be enjoyed now or cellared for up to 10 years.

About the Winery
