Tasting Note

The Barolo Bussia, ruby red in color with garnet highlights, is luminous and vivid in color. The nose is complex and is characterized by floral notes and notes of red fruit. The palate is intense with a texture of sweet and silky tannins, while the finish and aftertaste are long and balanced.

Product Notes

Antinori Prunotto Barolo Bussia DOCG is a red wine produced in the Piedmont region of Italy, specifically in the area of Bussia in the commune of Monforte d’Alba. The wine is made with 100% Nebbiolo grapes, which are harvested by hand and carefully selected to ensure only the best grapes are used in the production process. The wine is then aged in oak barrels for at least 18 months before being bottled. Antinori Prunotto Barolo Bussia DOCG boasts rich aromas of cherries, violets, and spices, with a full-bodied and elegant palate featuring notes of ripe fruits, vanilla, and tobacco. This wine pairs perfectly with red meat dishes and aged cheeses.

About the Winery

Antinori Prunotto

The history of the Italian wine label of Antinori Prunotto dates back to 1904. This was when Notary Giacomo and Alfredo Prunotto, the Social Cellar named Ai Vini delle Langhe, was formed in the Serralunga municipality in Langhe, Italy. In the next few years, the cellar faced quite a few problems. In the 1930s, Prunotto married Luigina. During this time, the couple decided to take up the cellar under its control, by giving it the Prunotto name.
