Tasting Note

Merwah is an ancient white grape, which is given profound expression by Lebanon’s formidable terroir. It had been used in winemaking and arak production for centuries. It offers intense citrus and white flowers with mineral note. Our organic grapes are grown on 60-year-old vines at altitude of 1,600 meters, an altitude that gives the palate freshness and flavours of tropical fruits with understones of guava, lime and summer melon balanced with fresh acidity. Serve chilled.

Product Notes

Château Ksara Merwah is a dry, elegant white wine that originates from the Bekaa Valley in Lebanon. This wine is made from Merwah grapes, which are a rare variety indigenous to the region. The Château Ksara Merwah boasts an attractive golden color and exhibits aromas of citrus and tropical fruits. It has a full-bodied taste, which is smooth and balanced with a refreshing finish. This complex wine is aged in oak barrels, which add notes of vanilla and spice to the palate. The Château Ksara Merwah is an excellent choice for pairing with seafood, fish, and white meats.

About the Winery

Château Ksara

Located in the Bekaa Valley in Lebanon, the Chateau Ksara wine label was established in 1857 by Jesuit Priests. One of the major highlights of this label is that it was the first Lebanese brand to produce dry red wine in the world. Today, these wines are exported to over 40 countries. Even today, this group continues to create wines without compromising its core values of tradition, nobility and modernity.
