Tasting Note

A opulent wine displaying intense notes of luscious cardamon-infused crème brûlée with honeyed biscotti. The palate is layered with poached quince, praline and dark orange marmalade – a lavish, concentrated interpretation of the Pinot Gris grape, with a spine of acidity that gives vibrancy and balance to its succulent, mouth-filling finish.

Product Notes

Greywacke Botrytis Pinot Gris is a luxurious and complex dessert wine that exudes elegance and sophistication. Crafted by renowned winemaker Kevin Judd in Marlborough, New Zealand, this wine showcases the perfect balance of sweetness and acidity. The grapes used in this wine are affected by noble rot, adding layers of richness and complexity to the final product. The palate is filled with luscious flavors of honey, apricot, and baked apple, with a hint of spice on the finish. This wine is perfect for pairing with decadent desserts or enjoyed on its own as a special treat. A true masterpiece in every sip.

About the Winery

Greywacke

The Greywacke winery in New Zealand wouldn’t have been so popular today, if Kevin Judd, one of the pioneer winemakers from Marlborough, hadn’t taken a personal interest to identify it and develop the place. This winery is named after the famous bedrock of New Zealand, the grey-wacky, which is almost considered as the national stone of the place. Judd, a professional photographer, explored the winery to a great extent to become a master in making wines without any intervention. Thanks to the unique winemaking process followed here, the wines produced in the Greywacke winery are full of authentic flavours and good concentration of the fruits.
