Tasting Note

In many ways, the 2018 Laurène embodies what we love most about wines from the Dundee Hills. Offering beautiful clarity and a garnet color on approach, the aromatics brim with notes of dried red cherry, spice, wild herbs, earth, and subtle oak. Characteristically elegant, the wine evolves on the palate, moving seamlessly from its pomegranate welcome into its detailed lines of clove, white pepper, and cranberry. As always, cellaring the Laurène over the next 5-15 years will be well rewarded

Product Notes

Domaine Drouhin Oregon Laurène Pinot Noir is a luxurious red wine that hails from the Willamette Valley in Oregon. It is characterized by its intense and complex aromas of dark cherries, blackberry, and subtle earthy notes. On the palate, this wine is rich and full-bodied, with velvety tannins and a long and elegant finish. The wine is aged for 21 months in French oak barrels, which lends the wine additional flavors of vanilla, spice, and subtle smokiness. This Pinot Noir is perfect to serve alongside roasted meats, hearty stews, or simply sipping on its own while enjoying a relaxing evening.
