Product Notes

Villa Maria Cellar Selection Albariño is a refreshing, crisp white wine that is grown and produced in the renowned wine region of Marlborough, New Zealand. The wine is made using 100% Albariño grapes, which are picked by hand and carefully selected for their perfectly ripe flavors. The wine has a pale straw color and floral aromas of jasmine and honeysuckle which lead into a palate of ripe citrus, green apple and lychee flavors. The acidity is well-balanced, making it a perfect pairing for seafood and other light dishes. Villa Maria Cellar Selection Albariño is a great wine for those who love fresh and zesty whites.

About the Winery

Villa Maria

Villa Maria is New Zealand’s most popular and most awarded winery today. George Fistonich was only 21 years old when he started this wine label. He got 5 acres of land in Mangere, Auckland, from his father, and set about to give wings to his winemaking passion. The very next year, he made his first wine from the grapes planted on this land, and he named the wine, Villa Maria.
