Tasting Note

There are intense notes of dark fruits and cocoa across the nose. We recognise the characteristics of a Mediterranean vintage: round and warm, with a mouth‐filling outburst. It's a well‐balanced wine with a touch of sweetness that lasts in the mouth. Throughout the tasting, we notice notes of tobacco, cocoa, and black fruit, which are consistent with the nose.

Ixsir Grande Reserve Red wine is a luxurious blend that embodies the rich history and tradition of winemaking in Lebanon. This full-bodied red wine is a harmonious combination of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Merlot grapes, sourced from carefully selected vineyards in the Bekaa Valley. The wine displays a deep garnet color and exudes aromas of ripe black fruits, cedar, and spices. On the palate, flavors of blackcurrant, plum, and vanilla are complemented by velvety tannins and a long, elegant finish. This exceptional wine is perfect for special occasions and pairs beautifully with grilled meats, hearty stews, and aged cheeses.

About the Winery

Ixsir

Located at around 1800m above sea level, Ixsir is one of the tallest vineyards in the world. This name comes from the word, Iksir, which is the Arabic word for elixir. In short, the word, Ixsir means something that is pure and elegant. There couldn’t have been a better word than this for the wines created from the best terroirs of Lebanon.
