The 2021 Beaune Grèves 1er Cru has a very heavy reduction that feels fixed on the nose. This is struggling to translate its fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with quite firm tannins. Dark berry fruit commingles with tea leaves, quite strict and assertive on the finish at the expense of finesse and precision.
