Tasting Note

Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are married with a judicious touch of French oak to deliver a supple claret with juicy fruit and gentle spice. The Légende range focuses on a gentle extraction aiming for a style that offers instant pleasure, so there’s little need for extensive decanting or a lengthy cellaring. There’s lots of redcurrant and raspberry notes mingled with blackcurrant and mocha on the nose followed by a plump and supple palate.

Product Notes

Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite Légende Bordeaux Rouge is a classic red wine from the legendary Rothschild family. It is a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes from some of the most prestigious vineyards in the Bordeaux region of France. This wine is rich and complex, with aromas of dark berries, spices, and hints of vanilla. On the palate, it is full-bodied and well-structured, with smooth tannins and a long, lingering finish. It is a perfect pairing with roasted meats, game, or strong cheeses. Overall, it is a wine that represents the renowned quality and elegance for which the Rothschild family is known.

About the Winery

Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite

Lafite dates to the 14th century, and the name means hillock in the gascon language. This land has had vineyards for a long time, and the seguir family organised it in the 17th century. This is when Lafite started gaining a great reputation in the art of winemaking. In the 1670s, Jacques de seguir planted the vineyard.
