Tasting Note

A deep purple-ruby color. Nice complexity of aromas with red fruits, blackberry liqueur, touches of incense, and notes of mint and cedar sap. The palate a continuation of the nose, suave and intense, with a nice mineral tension characteristic of great limestone terroirs. A fresh finish and an extended length which reveals a great aging aptitude

Ixsir El Ixsir Red is a rich, full-bodied red wine hailing from Lebanon. It is made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Petit Verdot, and Cabernet Franc grapes grown in the winery's vineyards, which are located in the foothills of the Lebanese mountains. The resulting wine boasts deep, dark fruit flavors, along with notes of plum, blackberry, and black currant, intertwined with hints of spice and oak. Its velvety texture and smooth finish make it an excellent accompaniment to hearty meat dishes, strong cheeses, and rich desserts. Ixsir El Ixsir Red is a wine that truly embodies the unique terroir of Lebanon, and is sure to delight any discerning palate.

Ixsir

Located at around 1800m above sea level, Ixsir is one of the tallest vineyards in the world. This name comes from the word, Iksir, which is the Arabic word for elixir. In short, the word, Ixsir means something that is pure and elegant. There couldn’t have been a better word than this for the wines created from the best terroirs of Lebanon.
