Tasting Note

The 2018 FAY Cabernet Sauvignon offers fragrant aromas of boysenberry, cherry pie, cassis, sweet spice and a touch of gardenia. The wine has a velvety mouthfeel with a well-balanced structure supported by lush polished tannins and flavors of blackberry and blueberry.

Product Notes

Stag's Leap Wine Cellars Fay Cabernet Sauvignon is a luxurious wine known for its depth and complexity. This wine is crafted from grapes grown in the legendary Fay vineyard in the Stags Leap District of Napa Valley, which has a uniquely ideal terroir for cultivating Cabernet Sauvignon. The nose is intoxicating, with aromas of dark fruit, vanilla, and hints of cigar box. On the palate, flavors of black currants, cherry, and cocoa unfold, with velvety tannins and a long, silky finish. This wine has a rich texture and is aged in French oak barrels for up to 21 months, lending it a beautiful layer of oak and spice. Enjoy with a grilled steak or hearty pasta dish for a truly indulgent experience.

About the Winery

Stag's Leap Wine Cellars

Located in the Stags Leap district of Napa Valley in California, the Stags Leap Wine Cellar was established during 197o by William Winiarski. It was during this year that Winiarski purchased 44 hectares of land for cultivating vines on it.  The results were great because the vines represented the unique regional flavour and character of the Napa Valley soil.
