Product Notes

Telmo Rodriguez Gaba Do Xil Tinto Mencía is a complex and well-structured wine crafted in the heart of the Ribeira Sacra region of Spain. Made with the indigenous Mencía grape variety, this wine boasts an intense ruby-red color with aromas of fresh red berries, black cherries, and spices. On the palate, it is full-bodied with a velvety texture and flavors of ripe fruit, earthy minerals, and a touch of smokiness. The wine has a long finish with well-integrated tannins adding to its depth and complexity. Perfectly pairs with grilled meats, hearty stews, and matured cheeses, this wine is sure to impress even the most discerning wine enthusiasts.

About the Winery

Telmo Rodriguez

Telmo Rodriguez is a Spanish wine label that has a 30-year old history. The first wines of this label were created in 1994 from the Garnacha grapes grown in the ancient town of Navarra in Sada. Though the group started with Garnacha varietals, they slowly started moving to other international varietals like Cabernet and Merlot in the next few years.  In the 1990s, the winemaking team at Telmo Rodriguez conducted a lot of research in the Arribes Del Duero region. As a result of this research, the experts founded a rare variety of grape varietal in this region – the Juan Garcia.
