Tasting Note

Glowing ruby red nuances. Cassis, blueberries, peach skin, resin, humus, pine needles, rhubarb, cinchona, eucalyptus, macerated medicinal herbs, tobacco, and mineral puffs reminiscent of iodine tincture. A generous and crunchy sip, agile yet broad-shouldered, with pleasantly extracted tannins, punctual freshness, and balsamic savouriness. Elegant and persistent.

Product Notes

Zurab Topuridze Saperavi is a rich and full-bodied red wine originating from the Kakheti region of Georgia. Made with Saperavi grapes that are hand-harvested and carefully selected, this wine is a true reflection of Georgia's winemaking tradition and expertise. The wine boasts a deep, ruby red color and exudes aromas of dark fruits, spice, and earthy notes. On the palate, it offers a complex and velvety texture with flavors of black cherry, plum, and a hint of chocolate. The tannins are firm yet balanced, creating a harmonious and lingering finish. Zurab Topuridze Saperavi is a testament to the quality and craftsmanship of Georgian wines, perfect for those who appreciate bold and robust reds.

About the Winery

The family's aim is to maintain the authentic tradition of Kvevri winemaking in Georgia — producing unique natural wines from native grapes and setting standards for their counterparts and friends. The business started slowly, selling only a couple of boxes, but family and close friends jointly grew it worldwide. Zurab Topuridze makes his wine from 2 ha in the Guria Region of West Georgia and 5.5 ha in the Kakheti Region of East Georgia. The soil, the agriculture and the nature are what make the vineyard and the wines different — more unique. Using nature's gift is a greatly seized opportunity.
