Tasting Note

Showcasing McLaren Vale’s brooding savoury side, which when enhanced with the region's plush dark fruits transports Shiraz to a deliciously ethereal level.

Product Notes

Chapel Hill is a defining characteristic of the McLaren Vale region in South Australia, renowned for its Shiraz production. The MV Shiraz wine is an impeccable example of this area's style, featuring rich and complex notes of dark fruit, spice, and peppery undertones. The fruit is sourced from 50-year-old vines, giving the wine depth and intensity, while barrel maturation in French oak enhances its elegance and softens the tannins. The wine has a rich, ruby color, and the taste is full-bodied, with a long, lingering finish. It is perfect for pairing with robust, hearty cuisine or sipping on a cool evening with good company.

About the Winery

The history and origin of Chapel Hill go back to early 1865. It was when the chapel of the same name got established. It got built by Methodist settlers who came to the McLaren Vale area. The chapel served as a school and place of social gathering and worship. Several local families of the farming line visited it for almost a century.
