Tasting Note

Vivid red with a deep pink-purple tint in color. Generous and intense varietal aroma, with hints of red fruits, violets and pepper while chocolate notes from the oak combine with the spiciness to create balance. Finely structured, intense and complex; balanced, with long tannins and a lingering finish.

Product Notes

Matetic Vineyards Corralillo Syrah is a complex, bold and elegant red wine that hails from the San Antonio Valley in Chile. The wine has a deep ruby red color and a nose that is full of aromas of blackberries, black currants, smoked meat and spice. On the palate, it is rich and full-bodied with well-structured tannins. About the Winery

Matetic Vineyards

In 1892, Jorge Matetic-Celtinja came to Punta Arenas by travelling from Fiume, an ancient port in the Austro-Hungarian Empire. It is known as Rijeka in Croatia of today’s time. He became the first generation of his family to reside in Chile. The origin of Matetic Vineyards started in 1999 when the first vineyards got planted and harvested in the Rosario Valley. The place, situated in a location surrounded by the coastal valleys of San Antonio and Casablanca, became the pioneer of producing cool-climate and high-quality wines.
