Tasting Note

This Condrieu is a richly textured and opulent expression of Viognier, offering a generous, full-bodied mouthfeel that is both enveloping and luxurious. The nose bursts with notes of candied citrus peel, such as orange and lemon zest, layered with acacia honey and a lush medley of exotic fruits like mango, papaya, and lychee. On the palate, its natural richness is finely balanced by a subtle mineral freshness and hints of ginger spice and white florals, lending complexity and lift. The finish is long, silky, and expressive, with lingering flavours of ripe stone fruits, warm citrus, and a touch of vanilla from careful oak ageing. A textbook Condrieu that seduces with both power and finesse.

Product Notes

The Domaine François Villard Condrieu DePoncins wine is a luxurious and elegant white wine that hails from the renowned Condrieu region of the Northern Rhône Valley in France. The wine boasts a rich and complex flavor profile, with notes of ripe peaches, apricots, honey, and floral undertones. It has a silky texture and a lingering finish that leaves a lasting impression on the palate. This wine is perfect for special occasions or for those who appreciate a truly exceptional and expressive wine.

About the Winery

Domaine François Villard

Francois Villard was originally trained to be a cook. However, his passion for winemaking sowed the seeds in him to set up his own wine estate in the year 1989. He built this estate from scratch, purely because of his passion. He went on to pursue certification courses in winemaking before he set up his estate, so that he was equipped to handle the challenges that came along in this process.
