Tasting Note

A captivating ruby red in colour matches an aromatic nose that unveils itself with layers of wild flowers, perfumed violets and red cherry notes. Concentrated flavours of black cherry, Kalamata olive and dried herb intertwine with sinewy tannins and judiciously selected French oak to create a long, memorable finish. Attractive in its youth with fruit purity, it will make an equally great sleeper with bottle age developing extra complexity.

Product Notes

Isabel Estate Pinot Noir is a beautifully-crafted wine that showcases the best of Marlborough vineyards. This wine has a bright ruby red color with intense aromas of dark cherry, black currant, and spice. The aroma is complemented by the layered textures of the wine, offering subtle hints of vanilla, oak and mocha. On the palate, the wine is elegant, balanced and complex, with beautifully integrated tertiary flavors. The beautiful acidity of the wine makes it perfect to accompany roasted duck or lamb. This sustainable and biodynamic winery is one of the best in the region, and Isabel Estate Pinot Noir is a stunning expression of the quality fruit they produce.

About the Winery

Isabel Estate

The story of Isabel Estate began in 1980 when its founder Mike Tiller flew his plane over a particular plot of land located in the village of Wairau in Marlborough. During the flight, Mike noticed and discovered an area. It later proved exceedingly beneficial and precious to him. It was a place having a unique microclimate and fertile soil. The land successfully attracted Mike’s attention and interest every time he flew over it on his way to Blenheim Airport.
