Tasting Note

Produced only in the best years, in a limited number of bottles, Brunello Riserva is intended for an audience of enthusiasts. Garnet red, on the nose it clearly expresses a note of humus and a broad, ethereal, composite aroma. In the mouth it maintains this austere and fascinating character, highlighting a taste structure of great depth and strength.

Product Notes

Altesino Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Riserva wine is a prestigious and highly sought-after Italian red wine crafted in the heart of Tuscany. Made from 100% Sangiovese grapes grown in the renowned Montalcino region, this wine undergoes rigorous aging in oak barrels and bottle refinement, resulting in a complex and elegant flavor profile. The wine boasts aromas of ripe red fruits, spice, and earthy notes, leading to a full-bodied palate with rich flavors of cherry, blackberry, tobacco, and leather. With velvety tannins and a long, lingering finish, Altesino Brunello di Montalcino DOCG Riserva is a true expression of the region's terroir and winemaking expertise.

About the Winery

Altesino

Altesino is a celebrated winery in the heart of Tuscany’s Brunello di Montalcino region, set around the elegant 14th-century Palazzo Altesi in the rolling hills just east of Montalcino. Founded in the early 1970s, Altesino quickly became a pioneer in the area—introducing the concept of a single-vineyard “Cru” with its Montosoli Brunello in 1975, and later being the first to use small French oak barriques for aging, lending greater finesse and approachability to the wines.
