Product Notes

Altesino Rosso IGT Toscana is a bold and flavorful red wine that captures the essence of Tuscany in every glass. Made from a blend of indigenous Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot grapes, this wine boasts enticing aromas of ripe black fruits, spices, and floral notes. On the palate, it is rich and velvety with flavors of dark cherries, plums, and hints of vanilla. The smooth tannins and well-integrated acidity make for a balanced and elegant finish. Altesino Rosso IGT Toscana is the perfect wine to enjoy with hearty pasta dishes, grilled meats, or aged cheeses. This versatile and popular wine is a true reflection of the beauty and tradition of the Tuscan region.

About the Winery

Altesino

Altesino is a celebrated winery in the heart of Tuscany’s Brunello di Montalcino region, set around the elegant 14th-century Palazzo Altesi in the rolling hills just east of Montalcino. Founded in the early 1970s, Altesino quickly became a pioneer in the area—introducing the concept of a single-vineyard “Cru” with its Montosoli Brunello in 1975, and later being the first to use small French oak barriques for aging, lending greater finesse and approachability to the wines.
