Product Notes

Barbadillo Oloroso "San Rafael" is a classic sherry from one of the oldest wineries in Spain. This sweet sherry is made from the Palomino grape, which is grown in the Jerez region. The wine is first aged in a Solera system for over 12 years, where it develops a deep and complex aroma of figs, raisins, almonds, and toasted wood. The wine is then fortified to 18% ABV, giving it a rich and full-bodied palate. On the finish, it leaves a sweet and long-lasting aftertaste. Enjoy this sherry as an aperitif or pairing with desserts, cheese, nuts, and dark chocolate.

About the Winery

Barbadillo

Benigno Barbadillo Hortiguela established this family-owned winery in the year 1821. He moved to Sanlucar after living n Mexico for 20 years, and he set up his company in this region, understanding the potential and richness of the terroirs here. Today, this wine brand is the biggest producer of Manzanilla varietal in the Jerez region.
