Tasting Note

Poised and perfectly balanced, this intense purple- black wine has a harmonious bouquet of red and black berries, with soft and sweet tannins on the finish.

Product Notes

Biscardo Enigma Apassimento is a full-bodied red wine from the Veneto region of Italy. It is made from a blend of Corvina, Rondinella, and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes that are carefully selected and left to dry in a process known as appassimento. This technique concentrates the flavors and aromas of the grapes and results in a wine that is rich, complex and intense. On the nose, it offers a bouquet of dark cherries, blackberries and hints of spice. On the palate, it is velvety and smooth with lush fruit notes and a long finish. Biscardo Enigma Apassimento pairs well with hearty dishes like roasts, stews and rich, meaty pasta sauces.

About the Winery

Biscardo

The story and history of Biscardo began towards the late 1800s. The Biscardo remained a reputed name in the textile and wine industries during the 1800s. The latter started with the endeavour and venture of Francesco Biscardo. In 1840, Francesco began wine production in the basement of a coaching house he used for his guests. Later, Pietro Biscardo, with Terenzio, his son, took over the management and ownership of the family business in 1867. It started the wine legacy within the family.
