Product Notes

Bisol 1542 Jeio Prosecco DOC Rosé will transport you to historic Valdobbiadene, where Italy’s most popular sparkling wine takes root. This exciting new category of wine was recently introduced by Italy’s Prosecco DOC Consortium, and represents a triumph in the face of challenge as well as a milestone in the luxury Italian wine industry. A 2019 vintage brut offering (6.5g/L) composed of 85% Glera and 15% Pinot Nero grapes using the Charmat method, Jeio Prosecco DOC Rosé is soft, effervescent, and crisply mineral-forward at 11% ABV. The Pinot Nero of this vintage comes from a ‘CRU’ of four selected hectares chosen from the same area, near the town of Follina, in the heart of the steep hills of Valdobbiadene that became a Unesco World Heritage Site in 2019. Silky and evocative, Jeio Prosecco DOC Rosé beautifully leads the newly established category with its contemporary freshness and versatility, combined with its deep connection to its historic terroir and undeniable Prosecco character. The Bisol family, who have lived in and loved the hills of Valdobbiaddene for 500 years, are uniquely suited to take on the exciting challenge of Prosecco Rosé and ensure its elevation.

Tasting Notes

Appearance: pink “romantic dream”, delicate and brilliant with a very fine, lively perlage. On the nose: floral, sweetness of rose and lily of the valley, with a fresh citrus fragrance. In the mouth: soft and balanced, clean cut, distinct and elegantly penetrating

About the Winery

Bisol

When a wine brand has been in the business for over five centuries and 21 generations, it is bound to be one of the most trusted wine brands in the world. We are talking about the Italian wine brand of Bisol. The Bisol family’s history can be traced back to as early as the 16th century. This was the time when the first generation of this family started growing their vines in the Cartizze hillside of the Prosecco country.

The vineyards of Bisol Wines are spread across the sprawling and magical terroris of Conegliano Valdobbiadene. The rocky slopes of these vines are so complex that cultivation and harvesting of the grapes can be done only by hand here. Ever wondered why Bisol is the home for the Prosecco Superior Wines? It is because every few kilometres of these terroirs contain different types of soil climates, which aids the cultivation of high quality of grapes.

It is no wonder that the process of vine cultivation is known as heroic viticulture in these terroirs. Due to the risky slopes, it takes at least 10 times more effort to cultivate and harvest the grapes here than it is required on the plains. Another feature that ensures that the grapes grown here are ripe and full-bodied is the climate that prevails here. The microclimate, with its constant winds and sunny climate, ensures that this place is the perfect place for the Glera grape varietal.

The cellars of the Bisol winery are designed in such a way that the temperature setting is controlled at a range between 10 and 15 degrees Celsius. These cellars are perfectly equipped with storing historical bottles for over centuries now.  If you want to taste wines that are perfect representations of history and culture, you have to drink a Bisol wine to experience the heroic cultivation behind it.
