Tasting Note

Dark cherry color with garnet rim. Expressive and complex. The terciary aromas evoke a big range of smells that reminds us of jam, cocoa, tobacco, mineral notes with slightly smoky notes. Round tannins with long finish. Good aging potential.

Product Notes

Bodega Protos Ribero Del Duero Gran Reserva is a Spanish red wine that is made by a renowned winery known for its high-quality products. This wine is made from 100% Tinto Fino grapes and is aged in French and American oak barrels for 24 months, resulting in a smooth and complex flavor profile. With a deep ruby color and aromas of dark fruit, vanilla, and spice, the Protos Ribero Del Duero Gran Reserva is a bold and intense wine that pairs well with robust dishes like grilled steak or game meats. Its high tannin content and long, silky finish make it a standout choice for any wine enthusiast.

About the Winery

Bodega Protos

Protos, in Greek, means “first”. The wines of Bodega Protos strive to be exactly that – the first in quality and precision. It was during 1927 that this label was set up with the help of the local vine growers in the region of Camino Bodegas Protos in Valladolid in Spain. Within a couple of years of inception, the Protos red wine was awarded a gold medal at the World Exposition in Barcelona, a great start to the brand name, indeed!
