Tasting Note

A sunny yellow in hue, the wine is heady with Chenin perfume of honey, straw, apples, real lemonade and water chestnut. Soft entry with good palate weight, the wine tightens as it flows across the tongue revealing a lick of saline and almost crackles a bit. Good natural acidity with a chalky, lemon pucker and notes of reglisse or liquorice on the finish make a second approach all the more appealing

Product Notes

Brash Higgins' CHN Chenin Blanc is a stunning wine that's made from the Chenin Blanc grape variety, grown in a small vineyard in McLaren Vale, South Australia. This single-varietal wine boasts a clean, crisp, and refreshing taste profile that's sure to delight wine enthusiasts. The wine offers aromas of lemon zest, peach, and honeycomb, while the palate is treated to a burst of citrus and stone fruit flavors, coupled with a hint of minerality. The wine is well-structured, characterized by vibrant acidity, a silky texture, and a medium body that leads to a long and satisfying finish. Brash Higgins' CHN Chenin Blanc is best enjoyed chilled, and pairs well with seafood, chicken, and vegetarian dishes.

About the Winery

Brash Higgins

Brash Higgins, based out of Southern Australia, is a creation of Brad Hickey and Nicole Thorpe. Brad, nicknamed "Brash" by Australian pruners, brought his interest in food and wine and the experience of having worked in the US and Australia to the table. Nicole had a vineyard named Omensletter, with Cabernet, Sauvignon, Shiraz varieties of grapes planted in 1997. When the two met in 2007, Australia was reeling under drought, affecting the Omensletter vineyard.
