In 2015 the result is a generous, dense, focused wine, with the sun-drenched herbal and savory notes of our wild mountain Cain Vineyard, and satisfying and mouth-filling on the palate. The 2015 Cain Five drinks beautifully today, and will continue to do so for twenty years.

Product Notes

Cain Vineyard & Winery Five is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and other Bordeaux varieties sourced from Cain's estate vineyards in the Napa Valley's Spring Mountain District. This full-bodied red wine boasts rich flavors of black currant, blackberry, and dark chocolate with notes of oak and tobacco. The nose is filled with aromas of dark fruit, spice, and cedar. The tannins are firm and chewy, providing structure and aging potential. Cain Vineyard & Winery is committed to sustainable and biodynamic farming practices, and their wines are made with minimal intervention to showcase the unique characteristics of the terroir. Cain Five is a luxurious and complex wine that will pair well with bold flavors and hearty dishes.

About the Winery

Cain Vineyard & Winery

The history of Cain Vineyard & Winery goes back to 1980 when Joyce Cain and Jerry Cain established the winery. The two brothers bought a plot of 550 acres located on Spring Mountain. Before the purchase, the land got utilised for ranching in the early years of the 1870s. Nevertheless, it carried prime soil with an exceptional standard or quality that was beneficial for the growth and maturation of the planted grapevines.
