Tasting Note

An extraordinarily elegant, ethereal wine delivering red fruits with hints of violet and oak spice. Beautifully balanced with an elegantly textured, velvety palate and a lovely, long finish.

Product Notes

Carpineto Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva DOCG is a rich, full-bodied Italian wine made with Sangiovese grapes grown in the Montepulciano region. This wine offers a complex bouquet of dark cherries, sweet spices, and a hint of licorice. The taste is layered, with an initial burst of juicy fruit flavors followed by a smooth, velvety texture and a lengthy finish that lingers on the palate. It is aged in oak barrels for 24 months, allowing the flavors to develop complexity with a soft tannin structure. This wine pairs well with hearty dishes such as roasted meats, game, and hard cheeses, making it perfect for a winter feast.

About the Winery

Carpineto

It was the winemaking passion of wine experts, Giovanni Carlo Sacchet and Antonio Mario Zaccheo that resulted in the birth of the Italian wine label, Carpineto in the year 1967. The name of the brand is inspired by the Greek word, carpos, which means fruit. Today, the younger generation of these experts are doing their best to take the legacy of the brand forward, in their own style, without compromising on the traditional winemaking methods.
