Product Notes

Charles Smith Velvet Devil Merlot is a rich and velvet textured wine that will delight all your senses. Produced by one of the most celebrated winemakers in the world, Charles Smith, this wine is known for its bold and elegant flavors. The aroma of this wine is characterized by a mix of crushed black pepper, herbs, berries, and black cherries. These elements meet a palate of tannin firmness that balances with the wine's ripe and fruity flavors. This Merlot is perfect for serving alongside grilled meats, pasta dishes, and hard cheeses, and is a good choice for those who love smooth and well-rounded red wines.

About the Winery

Charles Smith

Charles Smith, the American expert winemaker, realised his passion and potential for winemaking only when he moved to the European continent. Throughout the early part of his career, Smith was busy managing various rock bands, including the famous Danish band of Raveonettes.  During 1999, Charles Smith met a winemaker on his road trip to California and that’s where he got the inspiration to start his own brand of wines.
