Tasting Note

Inky-dark, silky-textured and aromatic, with blackcurrant, raspberry and cherry jam flavours and a warm, spicy finish, it has been likened to a fine Roussillon red.

Product Notes

Chateau Musar Jeune Red is a delightful blend of French and Lebanese grapes from the Bekaa Valley. It is a fruity and spicy wine with a medium body that is perfect for any occasion. The wine is made from three grape varieties- Cinsault, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon- which are grown sustainably in the vineyards. The wine is aged for six months in French oak barrels before bottling, which adds a subtle hint of vanilla to the wine. With its vibrant ruby colour, aromas of red fruits, black pepper, and a well-balanced finish, Chateau Musar Jeune Red is a perfect example of how the fusion of old world and new world can result in a harmonious wine.

About the Winery

Chateau Musar

The Lebanon-based family winery, Chateau Musar was established in 1930. Gaston Hochar set up this winery at a place called Ghazir, located within a short distance from the Lebanese capital city of Beirut. The wines from this label are made from high-quality Musar grapes that are cultivated on the 1000-feet tall vines cultivated on Beqaa Valley.
