Tasting Note

Attractive black plum in colour. The nose offers gobs of jammy black fruits intermixed with a delicious spiciness. The body is equally full, vibrant and concentrated. A well structured, well made wine all round.

Product Notes

Domaine de la Janasse Côtes du Rhône Rouge is a rich and full-bodied red wine from one of the most prestigious wine regions in the world. This blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre grapes is carefully crafted by the skilled winemakers at Domaine de la Janasse, resulting in a wine with deep ruby color, aromas of ripe dark fruit and spices, and a complex palate of cherry, blackberry, licorice, and pepper. It pairs beautifully with roasted meats, stews, and grilled vegetables, and can also be enjoyed on its own as a standalone drink. With its bold flavors and impressive depth, Domaine de la Janasse Côtes du Rhône Rouge is a must-try for any wine enthusiast.

About the Winery

Domaine de la Janasse

Aime Salon’s father, a vine-grower, used to take his grapes to the cooperative for them to make wines. Aime wanted this to change. He wanted to grow grapes and create wines from them in his own label. This was why he returned from his military service in 1967, so that he could give wings to his dream. In 1973, he built his own cellar and named it Domaine de la Janasse. This was because Aime Salon’s family farm was located in the beautiful place of Courthezon in the La Janasse locality of France.
