Tasting Note

The name of this cuvée suggests a pronounced minerality mingling aromas of lilac, peony or even peach. This very balanced wine has a rather floral attack on the palate and before revealing mature tannins. It is a very complex and elegant wine. The finish is tight with almost salinity.

Product Notes

Domaine Dominique Piron Chenas Quartz is a fruity and aromatic red wine that is grown in the region of Beaujolais in France. Made from the Gamay grape, this wine has a bright ruby red color and a full-bodied taste that is balanced by a subtle acidity. The nose exhibits vibrant notes of ripe cherry, raspberry, and blackberry, with a hint of spice and lavender. The palate is generous and fruity, with a smooth and velvety texture that culminates in a long and persistent finish. Best enjoyed at room temperature, Domaine Dominique Piron Chenas Quartz pairs beautifully with grilled meats, cheese, and charcuterie.

About the Winery

Domaine Dominique Piron

Established in Morgon by Etienne Bailly, the oldest ancestor of Dominique Piron, Domaine Dominique Piron has served under the renowned family of winegrowers, the Piron family, for fourteen generations across three centuries. The venture started with the family-owned 10-hectare land that Dominique Piron used to set his course for a bigger picture. He aspires to produce wines that represent the origin of their terroirs with their elegant, fruity, and subtle character.
