Tasting Note

This wine is deep ruby in colour. The nose displays a mix of blackberry jam and chocolate cake along with strawberry yoghurt and redcurrants. The palate shows incredible balance - rich but elegant with a perfect combination of acidity, fruit and body, and a persistent finish.

Product Notes

Domenico Clerico Trevigne Barbera d'Alba is a stunning red wine that showcases the best of the Barbera grape from the prestigious Alba region in Italy. This wine is a true expression of craftsmanship and quality, with meticulous attention to detail in both the vineyard and the winery. The result is a complex and elegant wine with aromas of ripe blackberries, cherries, and plums, accented by floral and spicy notes. On the palate, it is full-bodied and velvety, with well-integrated tannins and a long, lingering finish. This is a wine that will continue to evolve and impress with age, making it a true gem in any wine cellar.

About the Winery

Domenico Clerico

Domenico Clerico is one of the legendary names of Barolo, a winery that helped shape the modern identity of the region. The estate is based in Monforte d’Alba, in the heart of Piedmont’s Langhe hills, and was founded in the late 1970s when Domenico “Mimmo” Clerico took over a small family farm. Instead of focusing on bulk wine, he set out to express the full potential of Monforte’s vineyards, gradually acquiring parcels in some of the area’s most prized crus, including Ginestra, Pajana, and Mosconi.
