Tasting Note

Lovely golden-chestnut colour with a fine golden rim. Characteristic and classic Madeira bouquet of dried fruits, toffee and hints of oak and spices. Sweet, very rich, smooth and full-bodied, balanced by a very fine acidity. A long aftertaste with notes of honey and spicy oak.

Blandy's 5 YO Reserva Rich is a fine, medium-bodied, golden-colored Madeiran wine that boasts of a complex aroma and flavor profile. Produced exclusively from Tinta Negra grapes, this fortified wine is aged for a minimum of five years in oak casks, which gives it a distinct smoothness and richness to its texture. With a sweet, fruity bouquet of raisins, nuts, and caramel, the palate delights in a fusion of flavors that include notes of roasted nuts, spice, toffee, and honey. Its long finish leaves a delightful aftertaste with a subtle hint of vanilla. Blandy's 5 YO Reserva Rich is an excellent aperitif and also pairs well with savory dishes, desserts, as well as cheese.
